FirstFoot has incontrovertible evidence that the Labour Party in Scotland has lost the plot.

We have a situation which is so laughable, that we have no alternative but to say to them: "You'ze is aff yer heids."

And how did we arrive at this sorry state of affairs ?

project manager scottish parliament spoof
The way The Scottish Labour Party sees the Project Managers role

Because, the Project manager who was appointed by a Labour led Executive, to oversee the construction of the Scottish Parliament, Alan Ezzi, has been replaced by a Civil Servant.

Not just any old Civil Servant, but one, Sarah Davidson, with a political history of supporting the Labour Party in Scotland.

Could this possibly be a case of jobs for the boys (or girls) ?

Ezzi, was appointed from a short list of 48 other candidates, because of his experience of delivering major building projects.

Understandably, this was considered to be an essential factor when the post was advertised last year.

Ms. Davidson has no experience of construction projects. Sorry, just in case you didn't get that .... Ms. Davidson has no experience of construction projects ...... hmmmmmm

Horribly, FirstFoot even finds itself supporting "Bankrupt" Montieth.

When the corpulent chappie asked whether any of the other 48 candidates short-listed at the time of Mr. Ezzi's appointment had been considered before the appointment of Ms Davidson, John Home-Robertson, the Minister responsible, refused to answer.

Project Manager Scottish Parliament joke
What Parliament thinks the new Project Manager looks like.

Bankrupt stormed from the Parly saying: "This is a farce."

And he should know.

David Black, an authority on the project and an author of a book on the subject, said: "This is a poisoned chalice and they are dropping her into the gap. She is in no position to manage this. They need someone with serious experience under their belt."

Mr. William Armstrong, a former project manager who was involved in the original Holyrood brief but resigned in 1998, wiznae far aff the mark when he said: "The problem is the agenda. The building is going to be built whatever it costs and however long it will take."

Estimated completion costs have risen from circa £ 50 million to £ 300. And rising .........

FirstFoot is so pleased that the Executive is handing this so professionally.
